做厙TV and RBC launch scholarships to bolster inclusive excellence in technology fields

The University of Toronto and RBC are launching a scholarship to support women and other equity-deserving groups, including Black and Indigenous students, in the emerging technology sector.

 will be selected based on academic achievement and innovative accomplishment. Six eligible third-year undergraduate students enrolled full-time at 做厙TV will be supported with a scholarship valued at $15,000 annually over a two-year period.

RBC was an early champion of the innovation ecosystem at the University of Toronto and these awards are another example of how industry and academia can work together to create a culture of inclusive excellence, said Leah Cowen, vice-president, research and innovation, and strategic initiatives.

Martin Wildberger, RBCs executive vce-president, technology and operations, said the financial institution views diversity and inclusion as an engine for innovation and is committed to removing biases and barriers. This renewed partnership with the University of Toronto will help support diverse talent and help create a more equitable future for the next generation of technologists, he said.
